I was speaking to a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago who runs her own Newsagents business. She purchased the business a couple of years ago and she works very hard with some very unsociable hours.
She was confiding that although she loves working in the shop, even when the shop closes, her working day still is not over. She then has to visit her local Cash and Carry to purchase replacement stock for the shop.
I questioned why she has to go daily, and she told me as she does not own a van, she has to use her car, which obviously is not built to carry stock.
This set me wondering if I might somehow be able to assist her with this problem. I decided that probably the best thing for her business would be to get hold of a van. I felt this would enable her to purchase greater amounts of stock at the Cash and Carry, therefore minimising the time spent there. Unfortunately, I know her budget is very tight at present and so therefore she cannot afford to buy a new van. I thought it would be worth investigating the merits of Van Contract Hire.
After collating the information I researched, I feel at present this would be the best solution for her transport requirements. With this in mind, I suggested that she looks at Ford Transit Leasing as an alternative to using her private car.
However, I was also thinking about additional ways to improve her business and recalled at the back of her shop she had an unused fridge, just waiting to be stocked up. I have told her that it might be worth considering Refrigerated Van Leasing when looking into a van for her business.
I think whichever van she does decide to lease; it can only benefit her business.
